I had hoped DTI were more in touch with the real world than this
would indicate. Where is that power going to come from? Why isn't
the unit compatible with standard aircraft power systems?
I saw no reference to capability to support CDTI. Do they expect to
sell a separate receiver?
I just sent this email to DTI:
I'm looking for more information about your portable ADS-B unit than
you have on your website. I fly a sailplane, currently with a
transponder, but I very interested in ADS-B. Specifically, about your
unit:
1. When will it be available?
2. What will it cost?
3. Where in the
country will it usable with ATC?
4. Can it be used in lieu of
transponder?
5. Does it receive information from other ADS-B units or
ATC, and can this information be displayed on any moving map
displays?
