Yes, Tex, they were. Avenger torpedo bombers, representing the 5 missing
TBMs of "Flight 19" (though no sign of a Martin flying boat, which also
went "missing" while searching for the missing TBMs.). A classic
"Bermuda Triangle" moment, being blamed on aliens.
