Used to watch them launch and shootdown many of these using
the M42 "duster" on the range at Ft Riley Kansas in late 50's
Even had one for a while, that they "missed" and it came
down by recovery parachute and they could not find it.
We went back later and walked into the high grass and
picked it up.. ended up giving it away when we moved from
the post...

The things we young kids (at the time) got away with.. (Snicker)
