Perry Saturday Prepractice 11:30 am est #711 reporting
Well, today is still a pre-practice day and the grid has over 30
gliders already lined up and waiting for the day to start.
Registration is going on and most folks are signing in. It appears
that the contest is full at this time.
Weather today is 2-4 knots up to 4,000 agl. and the day will be blue.
We have high cirus moving in from the west. Sunday and Monday is best
said for now we will wait and see what the weather gods bring us. Most
of the time Perry does escape the really bad stuff, so time will tell.
Chris Gough flew 300 k yesterday and his went up to Union county in
the blue to 6,000 over Union but most of the day was 5,000 msl. Most
of his climbs were 5 knots and he had a great day with no low points.
Chris is on the Canadian junior team and is using his dad's glider one
more day. Good show dad Gough, letting Chris enjoy the soaring in
Perry.
That's about all for now. Will post some pictures and how the day went
this eveing on the blog.
