Default Contest Day 3 Club Class Regionals USA

Thursday, 14 MAY 09

Where oh where is the famous Cordele weather? It sure isn't here
right now. I know. It will be here by the "buckets full" once the
contest is over.

Today's weather was similar to yesterday. Low bases to the cu's, but
with the added dimension of actual precipitation. Rain was falling on
the course between turnpoints 1 and 2 and from my "office desk" in the
LS1, the rain seemed to be covering a good portion of the 10 mile
radius around turnpoint 2. It looked a bit daunting.

We got in a task today, albeit a short one. The winner, in case you
haven't heard, is Sarah Kelly flying one of two ASW-15's in the
contest. YEA, SARAH!! The overall leader is Ryszard Krolikowski,
flying a Jantar Standard 2. Former leader, Wally Berry, got stopped
by the rain today and landed out. Ouch.

We're hoping to wrap up the FIRST CLUB CLASS race in America tomorrow
with a fun task tomorrow. We just need the weather to cooperate.
