Ok. There was an airshow at Portage La Prairie this past weekend at the
air training base called Southport. I got a "few" pix despite the weather
being really nasty for this time of year. You would expect it to be
around +20 C but it was closer to 10 C and windy. Unfortunately, the
ceiling was fairly low too which limited the aircraft to a low routine.
There wasn't much sunshine either but I got what I got! ENJOY!

I was just looking at those photos and thinking that it looked like a
really filthy day. Something I had quite enough of last year (even to the
extent that I was halfway to one show when I heard on the radio that it
had been called off, because the car parks had turned into swamps.)

Still, I liked the pictures, despite the difficulties.

To change the subject slightly - do the Snowbirds ever do overseas
displays?

HI Dave! Thanks. I know the Snowbirds have performed in the US but I'm not
aware of any overseas performances (Europe/Asia/Australia/Middle East). I
don't think there is any money in the budget to support them and get the
aircraft all the way over there. I wish the government would just put up the
money and buy the Hawks they have been leasing and paint up a dozen of them
and be done with it. Right now, they are trying to kill the Snowbirds
completely. BLAH!
