The oh so sad case of David Cameron
In article ,
says...
How are you measuring "prosperity"?
I wasn't measuring it DVH. I was just observing it.
3/4 car families. Houses piled high with posessions. Designer clothes
for the kids. Good healthcare. Couple of foreign holidays a year.
These are measurements. You're measuring prosperity in things like foreign
holidays and consumer goods.
No objection to that.
Your "index" could have increased in spite of any action by the Government.
Come on. Maggie changed our way of thinking [or very least tackled the
real problems we all knew existed] and Blair continued with that.
If the brit mindset hadn't changed we would be the poorer for it, I
think.
As Cameron said, "in these difficult times, Britain needs leadership,
character, and judgement"
We do. The funny thing is though, he was talking about himself...
When I compare that to how I grew up. Just look at what has been
achieved. Amazing.
Yes, it is in many ways. I'm dubious as to how much of it was achieved by
government.
Even I'm not that cynical.
