We don't see much space stuff here apart from the occasional post of
NASA pictures so this set is a bit of a change of pace.
The photographs show the launch of a PRC Chang Zheng (Long March)
rocket.
If you were paying attention, you might have noticed that a Chang
Zheng launched China's third Beidou navigation satellite a couple of
weeks ago.
Beidou means Big Dipper (the Plough) and shouldn't be confused with
Baidu, the Chinese search engine which has recently upset Google.
Ahhh Sooo! The Long *Dong* rocket! (A better name)
And let's not forget that Clinton and Gore gave them the technology
to put their payloads up (including *nuclear* payloads)... All for
some illegal campaign contributions. After many failed attempts,
the Chinese decided it was cheaper and easier to bribe demoRATS.
Sorry! Not trying to pick a fight! Just stating historical facts.
