"A3-36 (cn 36) A crash-damaged Mirage on display outside the Darwin Aviation
Heritage Museum' in 1998. The 75 Sqn 'Miracle' had an engine flame-out (due
to a sticking 'Stops Corrector' in the Accel. Control Unit) on approach to
Darwin Airport. The Pilot, Flg Off John Quaife (now AVM Quaife), ejected and
the aircraft pancaked wheels-up onto the Ludmilla mudflats. The centre-line
fuel tank was ripped off and the 'Miracle' skidded to a stop on her
supersonic tanks. A3-36 has now been restored, in 75 Sqn camouflage livery."
