General Flight Experience - Just Wondering

A recent conversation with an experienced glider pilot/flight instructor
got me to wondering...
I know of one CFIG/FBO who - when he got into the CFIG activity years
ago - admitted to several years of 800 hours/year in rides and
instruction...in Ohio!
I know roughly how many annual hours semi-sick weekend-warrior types can
accumulate.
And my recent conversation elicited an instructor with 11,000 total
glider hours (~75% instructing), and - gasp-a-rootie! - 860 'ticketed'
students.
What else is out there in the way of accumulated glider experience???
I didn't start flying until 2001. I got my own glider in 2004.
I fly weekends only (with a few exceptions). Since 2006 I've flown 100
- 150 hours a year.
