I landed a few minutes after a plane calling "Skytrain..." this morning.
What's a Skytrain? I soon found out it's a name for a C-47
aka Douglas Dakota aka DC-3.
This one was all dressed up in WWII invasion stripes, and soon carried a
stick of paratroops up in WW2 dress (nice brown boots!) for a jump.

I Remember best on the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month, but I
remembered well enough the momentous events of seventy years ago.
Most of the participants have faded like the summer flowers now,
but I remember...
