What is the minimum number of days required to select a national
champion and where is that specified?

What rules apply to seeding points earned at a Nationals and where are
they specified?

I'm sitting out the rain at Hobbs and can't reconcile the SSA FAI
Nationals rules with some information that is circulating here.

The rule that may turn out the be the big problem is 5.2.1.1 which
appear to require 8 contestants to not only stick out the rain, but
also to get 40% of the winners score.

thanks

Andy

I did a quick review of the current rankings for the remaining std
class entrants and it looks like rule 5.2.1.1.2 will apply, not
5.2.1.1.1. *That means only 5 ranked 92 have to stick out the rain,
but they each have to get 75% of the winning score.

So back to worrying about how many days are required.

Andy

4.4 For an official National Championship, a minimum of four valid
competition days as defined in Rule 11.1.3 are required.

11.1.3 A valid competition day is a day on which every regular entrant
is given a fair opportunity to compete, and at least 25% of
Contestants achieve a Scored Distance not less than the Standard
Minimum Task Distance

This will change in 2011 to minimum 3 days with a 95% value.
