in there for a few repairs in 1978, do you recall the reason they were
required?

You got to be kidding, I can't remember what I had for breakfast
yesterday! How can I remember a repair in 1978? Strange because Jerry
built the NG-1, so I don't know why he wouldn't repair it himself? I
moved the turnpoint to a road intersection on the north side of Owens
Lake so I could get 500K at the north end of the
valley...................it worked with a landing at Janies Ranch (the
local cat house) after working hot rocks on the Inyo's and White
mountains all the way north. A fiend who landed at Manzanar tried to
get me to join him, but I was determined. Used that trick to get back
into Bishop in a regionals, years later.
Wood is good,

ha but you can remember that flight from 75!

I think the repair was done after Jerry sold the bird. Its a
different signature on the flights in the log starting around 77. it
was some skin work on the fuselage and some minor repairs to the wing
skin 8" outboard on each wing (I think)
