I was a loadmaster on a C-130 for 9 years... I flew on the H models. The
pictures of the Hercs in the Libyan AF look to be the older E models. With
the launch of the C-130 J, they all look outdated.

It depends on what you mean by "outdated". I was flying in Lockheed
Hercules
aircraft 43 years ago...yet they still seem to be around.
