yes, generally a good idea not to stall in the pattern, just like any 
other fixed wing aircraft. 
 
my experience flying two cherokees is that they have a tendency to 
drop a wing especially if held in the stall and there probably isn't 
as much mushy and buffeting warning prestall like on a 2-33.  I have 
found that doing stalls in a Cessna 150 was good prep for Leah before 
she flew her Cherokee the first time.  Similar sharp break in that
