inverted, down the length of the main street, Anacortes, Washington,at maybe
500 feet.
They were flying, I understand, from Paine Army Airfield, and were
target practicing at targets on Hat Island, just North of the Current oil
refineries on March Point. (refineries were not there yet)
We would enjoy, bicycling up Cap Sante to watch the P-38's strafing the
cloth targets hanging on the rock banks of Hat Island.
Anyone have any recollections of this group at Paine Field?
