I second the LX Nano. Great little flight recorder.
Will the nano talk to the Lnav or Mnav ?
Hi Tim,
Yes and no. The L-NAV needs GPS data for wind calculations. The Nano can
send that - no problem. But the L-NAV also would like to receive "distance
to destination" data. The Nano doesn't have a waypoint database and doesn't
do navigation, so it can't send distance to destination data out.
Therefore, the L-NAV wouldn't be able to show final glide data because it
won't know how far away you are from your destination.
The Naviter Oudie can send GPS data and distance to destination data to the
L-NAV. However, I don't see much point to that because the SeeYou Mobile
software on the Oudie is a better final glider computer than the L-NAV.
But it is nice to get GPS data to the L-NAV so it can calculate wind while
cruising.
The best thing to connect to an L-NAV is a GPS-NAV. Only the GPS-NAV can
send GPS data, distance to destination data, and destination airport
elevation data to the L-NAV.
