The plane in the foreground is a Johnson Rocket 185, of which more than
500 were sold and 17 built, in 1946. When Fertile Myrtle was in Oakland,
CA, I flew over and took some pictures.
Fertile Myrtle was the drop plane for many of the X-series at Edwards.
The last I heard, Kermit Weeks had added it to his collection, but I
think that it was damaged in a hurricane about 20 years ago.
If anybody has more info, please post.
