No sure re the std Cirrus, but the ASH26E shares the same "not enough room on top of the glare shield" issue. The fix is to make a shelf type bracked that locates the PF just aft of the glareshield (closer to the pilot), and drops it down enough to provide antenna clearance. In practice, since clearance increases going aft, the drop down won't block the view of any instruments mounted high on the panel. A side benefit is that this location makes reaching the PF controls that much easier.
