Thank Paul - very nice pictures.
I agree with others the reporting leaves something to be desired. *The best I've seen is from the Canadian Team's blog. *Am I missing something?
So - what happened to John Seaborn yesterday?
Seaborn is listed as a "DNS" yesterday (Day 3), but there's nothing on
the US Team website that adds anything. IMHO, in a sport that's
struggling to maintain interest, we're missing a great opportunity to
market soaring with the WGC only coming here once in a blue moon (too
costly to ship equipment/teams). Give much credit to the WGC
organizers and directors for mobilizing this. However, maybe they
should have recruited a bigger, more aggressive, PR effort with SSA
assistance? The Spot tracking only includes a few gliders, perhaps
because of tactical issues for the pilots. Even a delayed, but more
expansive, tracking would boost spectator interest. Don't mean to be a
complainer. Cudos to all who are putting in their time/effort to make
a successful competition (and to DB for winning Day 2 in the new
Concordia)!
