Yeah I like the lightning - best thing is that there is one next door to one
of the Hunters

Brilliant

The english electric lightning is a firm favourite of mine, when ever we
take the caravan to edinburgh we get the bus into the city, as the caravan
site is on a bus route and you can get a bus right at the gates, we got a
bus one time which took us near the Gyle, and Ferranti have lightning on
display outside on the grass, in a dramatic pose, i allways thought these
were small, but when youre up next to one, theyre alot bigger than once
thought, besides i've done alot of reading about this plane. I still

wouldnt
put down the Hunter though, another quality british aircraft, aswell as

the
victor, and the vulcan and TSR2 and... i could go on endlessly!

Military equipment is made to do
a job, not to look good.

Then explain the Mosquito!

I guess when you're doing below-rooftop height down some European

street,
you've got to look the business! - or you may as well be farting

around
at
a
much higher alt.

Those invasion go-faster-stripes added streetwise style - just ask

the
boy
racers in their Novas!

To me, you cant beat the beauty of the Hawker Hunter

I see a couple (non flying) everyday, and they still look great

Probably the most beautiful jet ever built. It's so Freudian...looks

like
sex and death!
