Yes Eric has done and continues to do great work on the ASH26E group,

and his Guide to Self Launching Sailplane Operation was a real help

when I first bought the 26. But many others of you have contributed

really useful stuff. I hope to retain a half share of the 26 so I

will be staying on the ASH26E group.



I agree with Waremark: many contributed to the website by submitting

detailed accounts of their improvements, operating methods, and

problems, including the diagnosing, solutions, and lots of pictures to

document things. Some also helped add to the "tech site", now at 120

pages of info and articles, or made suggestions for improvements to it.



And long before the website was started, Tom Serkowski moved us from

emails to a web group, improving communications.



We have members around the world, leading to a wide range of operating

environments and varied experiences that means someone, somewhere can

probably help you with your question or problem.



User groups can be very useful to the factories, as they can sometimes

see a problem developing months before a glider with it shows up in

their shop.
