After many difficult months a buyer was found December 17, 2012 for 1025 
Richmond Road, Unit 107. While it had to be sold below its asking price of 
$149,000 there was an additional minor profit of $2,000 for a retained 
deposit made on a previous offer which fell through. 
 
The profit on the sale by SAC means another $70,000 or so will flow into 
the bank. Exact profits cannot be calculated without knowing the final sale 
price. 
 
It is assume this new cash will be used to support soaring competitions in 
Canada in the coming years, starting with the Nats at Gatineau. 
 
Thanks go to the Ottawa realtor who has handled the property sale and had 
actually sold it to James McCollum many years ago. 
 
As a cautionary note, the building was certified as having abestos in its 
construction. There is no evidence to suggest this affected anything except
