We are delighted to report that today, XH558 was declared fully airworthy.

Chief Engineer “Taff” Stone reports;
Taff Stone“We are just filling in a few last job cards, but all parties are
now happy the aircraft is clear to fly in her present configuration. We just
need to get her outside to carry out a BF (before flight) check, which is a
standard procedure, so we should be able to launch at very short notice.”

Taff is happy to declare XH558 fully airworthy.


The aircrew for the required check flight have been advised of this and are
now busy looking at schedules and weather forecasts to select possible
dates.

possible as it happens. For obvious reasons, the first flight is conducted
to a set procedure to check out all the aircraft systems and to
re-familiarise the crew with her handling after the winter break.
