With my version (Pro), the settings and profiles are all controlled through the USB software utility. I haven't played with the different profiles frankly because the one it came with seems to work just about the way I like it.

I wish the volume was higher, but I can live with it.

Hope you get yours sorted out. I had a few difficulties (first unit shipped with battery issues) and found the customer service to be unusually superb.
