Default Astir Locking Collars

The rotating collars are locking the wings correctly, the FM states there
needs to be a 5mm gap shown on the locking collar, which is now
approaching
The paperwork I had as far as I recall was from Grob to the UK air cadets
who flew a fleet of Grob gliders, which stated that a thin shim could be
placed onto the wing spigots to take up wear. In "little balls"

I recall having something a few years ago, but unable to retrieve it

Fully aware of the engineering logic of too thick shims and ball/spigot

relationship

Are you saying that the 'little balls' inside your locked lift fittings,
have reached the bottom of the spigot 'groove' and the wings are not
tightly secured to the fuselage and you are considering rectifying this
condition using shims?
