I'd say the issue is more that of economic viability: value of the aircraft
post-mod against the costs of the mod. A fix in the form of an STC is there
(and has been for over a year), but it's rather pricey. Experience on this
side of the Pond teaches that for the majority of Blaniks it is simply
unsound judgement financially speaking to get them in the air again. Having
said that, I sincerely hope an FAA-approved solution will allow the L13s to
fly again...
