These pics are priceless.

A couple of years ago someone posted a video made from old 8mm film. A lovely lady was narrating the scenes from her husbands film. I believe it was mostly Southern California glider ports in the 50's and 60's. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I would love to see that film again.

These movies were in a drawer at Texas Soaring Association. Wally and June Wiberg owned a flying ranch which became TSA when they moved to southern California in the late 50's. June shot most of the film and sent it to TSA late in her life.

I digitized and posted them to YouTube so we wouldn't lose this great history of the sport and to share. There are Pratt-Reads, TG-2 and 3's, a Horten IV, Lil' Doggie, the Flying Plank, late 40's and early 50's National contests, late 50's early 60's Torrey Pines; along with some great people from the Mt. Rushmore of American soaring. Part 11 is of 1936 Wasserkuppe. I hope more folks go through their, or their Dad's, slides and movies and preserve them for all to share. On Youtube, search for TSA Wiberg Part and you'll get all 11 of them.

These old movies are priceless...thanks for posting...I am amazed at how well June remembered all the people, not to mention all the old glider makes and models
