In Africa, the Gotha Go242 and 244 did that job!



No sir the Go-242 was an assault glider, the 244 was fitted
with 2 engines but was slow and exceptionally vulnerable.
Only 176 were in fact built

The mainstay of the air supply for the DAK was the JU-52
supplemented by the Me-323
