Hope you got it sorted out.

I understand your need for a ipaq to communicate with your CAI 302 via the CAI Utility software.

I'm a 302/303 user.

That said when the ipaq's completely fail look into a Oudie 2 with seyoumobile.

Great device and software and you can, presently, load turnpoints into your 302 and download you flight file from your 302 with a Oudie.

It is easy upload your flight to the OLC or a contest with the Oudie.

The Oudie also logs another flight log in case your 302 file is bad for any reason.

The one thing the Oudie won't do is handle the CAI Utility. We 302 / Oudie users need to ramp up the pressure on Naviter to allow the CAI Utility to run on the Oudie and then it will be the perfect device to couple with a 302.

You can communicate the settings to a 302 with a 303 thou and this is the way I change settings in my 302 when I don't have my ipaq [ which is on life support] handy

Happy landings

Snip; "The Oudie also logs another flight log in case your 302 file is bad for any reason" -just about all software utilized today will do that..
WinPilot will work with CAI Utility. I think it is still the best software out there, SeeYouMobil (Oudie) is a sort of a poor copy and costs the most. The problem with WP is that there is no support, you are stuck with their aviation database which is almost two years out of date.
One of the best IMO is XCSoar which by the way is free and works like a charm.
LK8000 is good too (also free) from what I understand.
