Does anyone have any experience repairing the tailwheel on a Blanik L-23?

Ours failed, and it appears that it had been repaired before, so with all the cracks, etc., it doesn't look easily repairable. Photos available he

Apparently Vitek ay Blanik America just got a response from the factory and not only do they not have a price, but will need 6 months to manufacture the part(s). And we've been waiting almost 2 months to get this answer.

How about modifying for a fixed wheel?
