Default Gear up

You might try (gently and carefully) pressurizing the pitot tube with a
large syringe, but that would be a big pain to do on every preflight.
You could also test the system off tow or any other time in the flight
by cracking the spoilers with the gear up.

A better solution would be to develop a habit of verifying the gear
handle is in the down and locked position before beginning your base
turn. Relying on electronic warnings can result in repair bills.

Is it possible to test the gear up alert on a L-NAV while on the ground?

The manual says it needs to think its going 25 KTS and may have a altitude setting as well.

I would like to add a test in my pre flight.
