The airplane looks in very good shape, shame that I can't say the same about
the pilot.
But who's to say what the Cub will look like in 15 years, when it's as
old as the pilot?
Zero Six Hotel is a wonderful airplane. It's a 1946 J-3 that was
lovingly rebuilt as an L-4 about three years ago. One day I was
rolling it to the hangar for its hundred-hour when the mechanic came
out to give me a hand. "I have my heart and soul in this aircraft,"
said he. That's real nice to recall when I'm flying over the White
Mountains, and not a clearing anywhere in view.
