The latest round of indignities to be put on the British
Defence establishment have been announced.

In looking them over I was surprised by at least one thing.
The site ( http://www.raf.mod.uk/equipment/strength.html )
says the RAF has only 17 operational Nimrod MPA.
Thats less than Canada.
For some reason I thought their fleet was larger ( 30+ ).

Also wasn't aware the Jaguar was still in service.
I need to pay closer attention....

Several of the pre-release guesses about what was for the
chop seem to have been wrong. RAF Kinloss was supposedly
on the list and a drastic cut in the Scottish Infantry
battalions shows up as 1.
It'll be sad to see the regimental system go but times change
I suppose. There'll be quit few laying up ceremonies over the
next few years and some famous unit names reduced to fading
Colours hanging in cathedrals all over the UK.
