The An-225 Mriya is powered by six turbofan engines and is also the
heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tons.
It also has the largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service.
I wonder if it would be more cost-effective to replace:
6 × Progress D-18T turbofans, 51,600 lb thrust each
with
4 x General Electric GEnx-1B, 76,100 lb each
And give it a single vertical stabilizer while they're at it...
