The scheduled national contests at Caesar Creek have been cancelled due to local conditions and weather projected for the contest period. Virtually every field in the area has standing water. Access to the airport is limited due to flooding.
Given this situation, the CCSC organization, in consultation with the Site Selection Committee Chair and the Contest Committee determined that it would be best to cancel and schedule later.
The new dates requested for approval are 8/22-23 for practice and 8/24- 9/1 for competition with 9/2 as a reserve, if needed.
We hope to be able to get this approved and announced formally very soon.
The reason for this early note is to allow pilots who may wish to come to make plans.
