I've flown with bald eagles and golden eagles around Pike's Peak, ret tail
hawks above the Dallas area, ravens above Moriarty, NM. *All seemed to enjoy
the company except for the hawk above Durango, CO - he attacked! *He dove
(stooped?) at the canopy with talons extended and came inside the wingtip
before breaking off. *Quite a sight!

The bird seems to enjoy flying with the glider and does not seem to be
agressive.

A couple years ago I was flying along in some sink, when a speck at 1
o'clock high caught my attention. The speck turned into a B1RD in
full stoop. Not much I could do except watch him. He (or she, I have
no idea how to tell!) came out of the stoop co-altitude with me,
leading me, a bit off to my right. I followed, and within a few
hundred yards, I was in a line of lift. I think the B1RD's around Jean
are amused by the big stupid naked white birds that bumble about in
their territory from time to time. Swallows, on the other hand, are
all about defending their territory. I've been at 16,000 MSL with an
aggressive swallow swooping at me repeatedly.
Weird.
