I can think of more than a few topdressing strips around NZ where a
fully-laden FU24-950 probably could get airborne without need of the
engine -- and I *have* seen them misjudge the uphill landing run while
empty and find that 400 HP isn't enough to make it up to the flat bit at
the top, pivot around, takeoff, circle, and try again.
