I have wondered if anyone outside of Finnish forces ever achieved ace status
in the Brewster. Did your book happen to say?

There were several RAF pilots who achieved ace status with the Model 339 or 439
Brewster Buffalo. Most notable a New Zealander named Geoffrey Fisken who
scored 5 or 6 and later went on to score either 5 or 6 on the P-40. In any
event his total is 11 making him the highest scoring pilot from the
Commonwealth versus the Japanese.
