Default Anybody know what happened to these HP-14s?

So, there was this auction of "seized property" about three years ago. I was thinking about going, but talked myself out of it, as I figured I would end up with 4 HP-14 projects to bring home (Sorry, I was not going to bid on the last one. Even I have limits!). Anybody know where they went? 4 of 5 went to someone "on site", and I think the motorized one went to someone via on-line bidding. I suspect most went to a salvage facility.

I was really most interested in the first one, as it was built by Kai Gertsen. I seem to have a "thing" for planes with some special history that goes along with them. The second also likely has some interesting history, too.

The third one was interesting, as it is an HP-14 fuselage and an HP-18 wing kit. Could have made a neat sailplane! I sold a previous owner of that 14 fuselage a set of partially built by Slingsby HP-14 wings to go with his fuselage. Guess he sold his project to the guy who had all the glider bits seized. I remember helping load the wings in that trailer, and they were too long, so the front doors were left open with the tips sticking out to right over the trailer hitch!

Any info appreciated.

Always love seeing my old ship keep showing up in the news and at auctions. The total damage on 102MW was pretty minimal, i just didn't have time/money to fix it with kids on the way.
