The Wederkind sleeves are simply easier to use, but not necessarily
any more/less safe.

At least on the DG's air brakes, the pins are a bear to insert. While
the aileron connects are right in the middle and very vissible, the
brakes are deep inside and you have to insert the pins by feel. Not
fun.

I had the pins. Then I went to the Uerling sleeves (which need to be
replaced every few years). The Wederkind sleeves are definately the
best of the three for ease of use.
