Default Microair 760

Check your voltage at the radio.

A fellow club member received a new MicroAir just within
the past month or so. It would transmit and receive,
but it would receive only when the squelch was adjusted
to fully open.

Turned out he had some poor wiring in the panel. There
was a voltage drop in the panel due to the 'bird's
nest' wiring. He took it to a real avionics shop where
they rewired the panel and now, his MicroAir works
just fine. Yes, the avionics shop, 'Spark Chasers'
at the Johnston County Airport, North Carolina, USA,
bench tested the radio and did not find any problems
with it.

Anybody got any hints or tips on setting up a Microair
760?
I have an eltec(?) mic from svsp that was recommended,
but the transmission is reported as low and distorted.Have
tweaked the mic gain pot, but doesn't seem to make
any difference. Batt voltage around 12.5v.
