Default NTSB FOIA Backlog

In January I opened an account for FOIA requests on the NTSB website. Then, I spent two weeks working with their tech support to figure out why the logins and resets weren't working. While it was finally resolved it took several updates to their servers before it happened.

So, around a month ago I finally got my FOIA request filed.

Today, I got my first response which advised "Due to the current backlog it will be around early Summer before we can answer your request." Seriously, six months?

Maybe they could spend some of the 'stimulus' on improving NTSB response times?
