You might start out by trying to figure out by which path the noise is
entering your radio. You could isolate the DC power path from the
antenna path by powering your radio from an isolated supply (seperate
battery). If the problem persists, then assume the antenna path and
look at why your ignition is emitting so much power into the ether.
Perhaps this is where the new P leads come in.
