Taken August 2004 Tillamook Air Museum at the old Naval Air Station
(Blimp Hangers) Tillamook, Oregon

Hi Jack,

I still am not sure which is better, the museum or the cheese factory,
cause
the Tillamook Ice Cream there is about as fresh as fresh can get.

Jack and Old Flanker,

You're welcome. I am glad there are folks out there that appreciate these fine
aircraft at least as much as I do. One of these days I hope to get by the
"Spruce Goose" and museum in McMinnville, Oregon before they close.

Close ?
The McMinnville musuem is expanding once again.
They have a third building under construction and two weeks ago when I
was past there it appeared more airframes on outdoor display....

Other sites to see in NE Oregon are the PT boat berthed at the Naval
Reserve Center Portland and the Oregon Military Musuem out in Clackamas

I did mean "for the day". Everytime I have been past there, it has been late
in the day. I couldn't have given the place justice with only a half hour or
so to look around. I will have to make plans to make a day of it as I know it
is a large complex now. The only times I have been past the place has been on
business trips.

Thanks Paul

Opps, I should have caught the inferance...
I am just as guilty, we drive past on trips to the coast but have yet to
stop and visit.
