Heard that Kempton Izuno flew from Minden to Cal City to Herlong back
to Inyokern. What is the rest of the story Kempton

Gary:
I first listed congratulations on the SSAs newsgroup for
Badges & Records.
Minden, Herlong, almost Inyokern, almost Herlong, Cal City.
1015 statute miles or so. Free 3 turnpoint Distance for Singleplace
Motorgliders and claiming a US National Record.
Ten hours and some change.

See guys, you don't have to travel to the other hemisphere for
big miles.... but then again, Bob Symons, Joach Kuettner, John
Robinson, Larry Edgar and many others knew of the distance available
in a day's long, high wave flying.
You just have to spend a few seasons learning about wave and
mountains!

Again, congrats Kemp, for doing it smartly, safely and smoothly.

Also, a G-102 left Minden around 2:30 pm and made it to IYK with
Charlie Hayes aboard, the same afternoon, 3/25/04.
