Yes, but the beaches are better over on the east side of the pass at
Gulf Shores/Orange Beach.

Is the strip serviceable?

Yep. Don't know if there's a courtesy car, fuel, etc.
There's a dandy little seafood restaurant on that side of the bay, a
few miles north of Dauphin Island.
