I didn't think any mark of Mustangs got the machine guns under the engine.
I do know that the A36's did though.


From what I can find, the RAF only had one A-36 serial EW998 at
Buscombe Down for testing. It was called the Mustang MkI (dive
bomber) by the RAF. Allother RAF Mustangs were P-51 variants.
