Default Microair vs Becker

99% Microair are perfect but yes there have been problems with earlier
sr nos. There are several service notes from Microair that address
some of these problems. I will admit Microair are sensitive to its
antenna even problems with just some frequencies in the middle to
upper part of freq. ALSO some microphones (silver Icom Booms) make
you think you have a a fault in xmitter of antenna - it is like the
radio is directional. Your fault is your BOOM MIC trust me.
The microair is a little down on output power compared to Becker etc
but set up properly power is really not relivant. Microair have
excellent receives at all times. I should mention there will be a new
Aussie radio called X-com which will use buttons and is more power and
inbuilt vox-intercom. If Microair owners think they have a mic
problem please contact me and I will help out. I would have to say
Becker and Dittel are excellent radios be they expensive.
