But my best safari memories are of when my partner and I took our LS-6a, a trailer, and a
1,000' rope and hit the road. We swapped off, flying straight out one day and driving the car
and trailer in pursuit the next day, rinse and repeat. I don't think we ever launched where
tows were available except for Day1 leaving home base.

NOW you're talking REAL safari!

Eric, this year we had Safari participants come from as far away as Moriarty, I guess that qualifies for a Safari! we did have pilots come from many parts of the country, NM, Mass, KY, PN, NH, Vermont, shall I say more about our Soaring Safari? Why don't you organize one at your own club that will do something to enhance soaring. Or, if you plan that safari please consider visiting us here in Vero Beach, we do allow motorgliders, and at times give them a great tow. Bob
